Manager, Firmware Development

What about a challenging position with opportunities for personal and professional growth at the forefront of the off-highway and commercial vehicle industry?</em></p><p>Our R&amp;D team is looking for a <strong>Manager</strong> who will be responsible for hands-on management and development of our FW development team’s operation at the intersection of hardware and software. You can be situated in Seinäjoki, Tampere or in Turku. We offer you the opportunity for flexible remote work, but this position requires regular presence at our offices.</p><p><strong>What kind of tasks?</strong></p><p>As a superior of the team, you would be responsible for the team’s resources, competence development, team spirit and well-being. At this position you would participate in R&amp;D projects planning and product maintenance task allocation and scheduling in co-operation with our product management and project managers. Ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge ranging from bare metal to application-level programming. To be successful in this position, you should have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in relevant technical education and good knowledge about embedded software development processes, software quality assurance methods and DevOps toolchain. A good understanding of development methods and processes according to functional safety standards (such as IEC61508 and ISO26262) is also highly preferred. Agile development methods, ASPICE and cyber security knowledge are considered as assets.
