Senior Building & Grounds Worker

Wage - $18.69 per hour

Schedule – Full Time, 8hr shifts, Monday – Friday

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for assuring all roads and grounds equipment is kept of operational and assigned areas are maintained in a neat and clean condition in compliance with government and management directives. 

Essential functions: 

1. Assume oversight of all building and grounds workers.
2. Assist the maintenance supervisor with staff training and evaluating staff performance. 
3. Mow, trim and edge all grass areas, water grass & flower bed areas, and use insecticides & herbicides as appropriate. 
4. Perform general cleanup of grounds to include debris, tree limbs, etc. 
5. Operate all ground equipment and machinery including front end loaders, tractors, lawnmowers, edgers and snow removal equipment. 
6. Install and repair sprinklers and associated lawn watering equipment. 
7. Order materials to perform work, prepare paperwork to reflect cost, use materials and other data for accounting purposes. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 
• Three (3) years related craft experience.  
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
