Salary:  $55,000 - $65,000 / year

Job Summary

As the Assistant General Manager at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), you will help lead the daily food service operations of a high-volume, dynamic campus dining environment. In this hands-on role, you’ll manage a team of associates, ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food and service, and support budgetary and operational goals. A passion for hospitality, quality, and client satisfaction is essential. Flexibility to work nights and weekends is required to support student needs and special events.

Key Responsibilities

• Support overall food service operations in alignment with the approved budget, maximizing client value.

• Maintain exceptional food quality and service standards for students, faculty, staff, and guests.

• Foster strong working relationships with associates, campus partners, and clients.

• Oversee day-to-day team leadership, quality control, and operational support.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the account.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of progressive food service management experience in campus dining, restaurants, hotels, healthcare, corporate, or military settings.

• Strong culinary and operational knowledge, including purchasing and cost controls.

• Proven financial and business acumen.

• ServSafe Certification preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet applications.

• Associate’s degree preferred.

• Availability to work nights and weekends is required.
