Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters and underlying bare metal infrastructure.
  • Provide support for production and non-production Kubernetes environments.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Argo, Flux, and Helm tools.
  • Work on multi-tenant and single-tenant Kubernetes clusters, ensuring isolation and implementing RBAC.
  • Proactively monitor the health of the clusters and take action as needed.
  • Implement and maintain storage solutions using Portworx.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Use ClusterAPI for cluster lifecycle management.
  • Regularly review, recommend, and implement improvements to our operations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure the platform supports the needs of our applications.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and run books.
  • Provide on-call support as part of a rotation.

Requirements


  • Proven experience as a Kubernetes Administrator or similar role in a large-scale production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Rancher Kubernetes Engine (RKE).
  • Experience with bare metal infrastructure management and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in managing CI/CD pipelines and Helm package deployments.
  • Familiarity with Canal CNI and NetScalers for networking in Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes multi-tenancy models and RBAC.


Nice-to-Have


  • Experience with Portworx for Kubernetes storage.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools, such as Argo and Flux.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operators.
  • Familiarity with ClusterAPI for cluster lifecycle management.
  • Relevant professional certifications like CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist), or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer).
