About the role

Overview

Corporate Security is a functional area under the Enterprise Protection Services (EPS) group dedicated to “Making Protecting the Brand Personal”.  The Sr. Principal Team Leader role will be responsible for executing a comprehensive security strategy for Chick-fil-A’s vertical business lines (VBLs) with a primary focus on Chick-fil-A Supply’s distribution centers, Remote Prep Kitchens (RPK), supply chain security operations and all external Chick-fil-A owned properties, including subsidiaries and build out of any external Support Center locations. 

 

The strategy will accomplish the following: create and maintain a framework for security risk identification and management at all VBL locations, including oversight on security designs, leading a team of subject matter experts, security best practices, establishing standards and audit tools, creating a partnership with other stakeholders while helping to influence a security mindset among VBL leadership.

 

Provide leadership and direction by engaging with EPS team members and impacted stakeholders to ensure proper alignment with the Enterprise Protection Information Center (EPIC).  Collaborate with EPS leadership in all planning efforts and professional development to ensure we meet align with Chick-fil-A’s growth strategy, while stablishing metrics and key performance indicators to demonstrate alignment and success domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team that engages in physical security design, implementation, and vendor management.  This would include access controls, video surveillance, alarms, guard services and fire systems.

 

o   Create an atmosphere of collaboration and cooperation with Chick-fil-A subsidiary leadership.

o   Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and related stakeholders for assistance when needed.

o   Coordinate with our Enterprise Protection Information Center (EPIC) to monitor distribution centers, as well as all Chick-fil-A owned properties and subsidiaries.

o   Provide opportunities for professional development to EPS-Corporate Security staff.

o   Travel with SMEs to ensure alignment with strategic plan and meet with external partners.

o   Working knowledge of physical security systems preferably Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification.

o   Provide insight and recommendations to new ventures domestically and internationally.

o   Participate in pre-site selection with EPS Corporate Security Team.

 

  • Respond to identified security gaps and intelligence reports related to potential threats impacting external subsidiary sites and staff.

 

o   Leverage data and analytics to create and present reporting on physical security strategies and incident management.

o   Develop robust reporting procedures to ensure timely update on security threats and/or high-risk incident.

o   Partner with intelligence vendor to provide “gap” coverage when providing security services to sites across the brand.

o   Prepare intelligence reports and briefs to EPT and EPS leadership and Executive Committee (EC), when necessary.

o   Develop a team of subject matter experts who will leverage industry best practices and resources to identify security gaps and execute strategic imperatives at all site locations.

  • Partner with other leaders across the Chick-fil-A enterprise to ensure security threats are known, monitored, and mitigated with corresponding response plans.

 

o   Lead a team that develops proactive strategies and develops security plans to mitigate potential threats.

o   When needed, provide intelligence briefings to designated external Chick-fil-A leadership to address imminent security risks.

o   Develop a robust training program for external subsidiary staff such as workplace violence, active shooter, and internal threats.

 

  • Empower your team to be security ambassadors through education and awareness.

 

o   Assist in developing a core training curriculum required for onboarding for Chick-fil-A Supply staff and specific warehouse security training programs.

o   Transmit to staff security gaps and weaknesses on a timely basis to ensure maximum staff and facility protection.

 

  • Develop a supply chain security program in coordination with related stakeholders e.g. Enterprise Risk Management, Food Safety, and Corporate Procurement.
