Coinbase’s Asset Monitoring program covers every asset supported across Coinbase. Our mission is to detect, understand, and respond to any incidents which impact the over 500 assets supported across Coinbase products. To do this, we use a combination of best in class tooling, research partners, and in-house crypto experts to stay on top of it all. 

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): 

• Develop and execute initiatives supporting our asset monitoring and intelligence platform – the eyes and ears for incidents in the crypto ecosystem which may require triage, escalation, and action by Coinbase teams.
• Your responsibilities include forks, upgrades/token migrations, legal proceedings, blockchain security events, or significant organization/personnel changes, and other material changes within the asset/protocol.
• Build systems to detect and disseminate timely updates for supported assets, and perform related research on those updates. 
• Nurture relationships with XFN teams such as Listings, Legal, Compliance, & Security who triage, respond, and remedy to high impact incidents.
• Train a distributed workforce to ensure our monitoring process operations are adhered to, and administer quality assurance programs to efficacy. 
• Create and execute new crypto research frameworks to help determine asset listing prioritization and initiate delistings.
• Have a strong pulse on asset metrics, social sentiment, and emerging crypto narratives.
• Conduct external calls with asset issuers and developers to help teams understand details related to our monitoring.
• Operationalize processes to review assets in a timely manner, and support related research and documentation so that it is clear to audiences with varying crypto knowledge.
• Work with the Program Lead to understand KPIs and program requirements, and build tooling to measure the accuracy and effectiveness.
