We provide team-based care in an integrated care setting.
The Advanced Practice Provider Residency is a two-year program with HealthRIGHT 360. During the 2 years of training, the residents will be engaged in a diversity of learning opportunities including didactics, preceptorships, and specialty rotations. Residents will start with an intensive boot camp to shore up clinical basics as well as EMR training, an orientation to practice management and team-based care, and basics of Quality Improvement, as well as other topics. The APP Resident will participate in weekly didactics, begin with shadowing a preceptor and build their own practice panel with preceptor support.
Specialty rotations will include those that support care for our safety net population, including Addiction Medicine, Mobile & Street Medicine, Women’s Health, Psychiatry, Behavioral Health, HIV care, and Hepatitis C care. In the second year of the residency, residents will continue to receive training and preceptorship to continue to enhance their clinical practice. Second year residents will also serve as mentors for first year residents. Cohorts of residents will consist of a minimum of two members. Incentives will be offered for relocation and retention.
JOB SUMMARY
The Advanced Practice Provider Residency Program Director (APP Residency Director) is responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of the structure, content, curriculum, and outcomes of the APP Residency Program. Clinically, the Director supervises, mentors, and evaluates residents throughout the duration of the program and collaborates closely with clinical preceptors to ensure a consistent, high-quality learning environment.
The APP Residency Program focuses on primary care services delivered in a safety-net, community health center setting and includes collaborative rotations with specialty services such as Addiction Medicine, Mobile and Street Medicine, Women’s Health, Psychiatry, Behavioral Health, HIV Medicine, and Hepatitis C care. The Director provides coaching and support related to caring for safety-net populations, particularly patients experiencing homelessness and those with complex co-occurring conditions, including substance use disorders, mental illness, and multiple chronic medical conditions.
In addition to residency leadership responsibilities, the Director maintains a clinical panel of patients in the clinic. The size of the panel will reflect protected time to ensure successful fulfillment of residency program responsibilities. This leadership role includes participation in key organizational meetings related to clinic operations, population health, funding, research, and quality improvement. The Director also leads the Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) and regularly presents updates on program progress, outcomes, and challenges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Residency Responsibilities:
• The Director is an expert primary care Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) who integrates direct patient care responsibilities with clinical leadership and program oversight.
• Provide leadership in the recruitment, orientation, curriculum development, and evaluation of all program components, including didactic education, case presentations, and resident assessment.
