Neurologist - Neurocritical Care [Req#: 840573, Position#: 125827]

Description

The Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an academic neurocritical care intensivist.  This position will provide neurocritical care services at UT Southwestern's University Hospitals and Parkland Memorial Hospital.  The position will involve teaching neurocritical care fellows, neurology and neurosurgery residents, and supervision of Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Providers.  Faculty members are expected to participate in academic and clinical research activities.

Qualifications

• Possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas
• Board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, The American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Anesthesiology, or the American Board of Neurological Surgery.  Board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Neurology and applicable credentialing and privileging standards for neurosurgery.
• Certification by the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialities (UCNS) or the neurosurgical committee on subspeciality training (CAST)
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical medicine, interpersonal interactions, communication, and teamwork skills.  Motivated self-starter with a committment to excellence
