Senior HR Specialist

BYD Europe BV offers a full line of BYD electric vehicles, including all-electric cars, all-electric buses, and all-electric forklift trucks.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Act as the first point of contact for all HR matters for the Hungarian entity.</li> <li>Coordinate closely with the existing Hungary-based SSC team for local HR operations and administrative support.</li> <li>Establish and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with Hungarian labor laws.</li> <li>Coordinate with our HQ HR team (Netherlands/China) to implement corporate HR practices in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.</li> <li>Support recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding.</li> <li>Handle employment contracts, employee documentation, and HR administration with SSC team’ support.</li> <li>Assist in coordinating payroll and benefits with external providers and SSC team.</li> <li>Support local employee relations, workplace compliance, and health &amp; safety policies.</li> <li>Contribute to culture building and employee experience in a growing cross-cultural environment.</li> <li>Support local office setup from HR/people perspective (if applicable).</li> </ol><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.</li> <li>5+ years of experience in an HR generalist or specialist role, preferably in an international company.</li> <li>Good understanding of Hungarian labor law and HR practices.</li> <li>Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently in a start-up environment.</li> <li>Fluency in <strong>Hungarian and English</strong> (both written and spoken) is required.</li> <li>Experience working with Chinese companies or in a multicultural setting is a plus.</li> </ol><p><br/></p><p><strong><strong>Location: </strong></strong>Hungary, Budapest</p><p><strong></strong><strong>Type of Employment:</strong> Full-time</p>
