Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant District Manager position allows candidates the ability to partner with district managers to understand the retail business processes. This role will focus on operational leadership and communications for a segment of the 550+ stores. This role does allow for remote work as well as travel, which can be up to 75%
The ADM will be responsible for building relationships at the store level, while creating a bridge of understanding between leadership and the field. This position will work directly with the appropriate stakeholder to provide feedback and suggestions for efficiencies in the stores and districts including ideas around excecution. The day to day responsibilities will include work assignments within many areas of the focus including development opportunities, operational leadership, recruiting, and coaching and development.
While traveling to identified districts, there will be exposure to a variety of management styles which will create an all around view of Goodyear Retail. Travel will be done independently, as well as partnered with the aligning district manager. The ADM will be responsible for ensuring BASICS integration, observing team dynamic, and assisting with audits if necessary. This position will collaborate with the district manager in providing leadership in regards to AOP (profit, sales, units, car count & productivity), as well as reviewing customer satisfaction metrics. This will provide the ADM exposure to coach and develop the current associates to ensure a stronger customer experience.
Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a retail/service business.
- Experience managing all aspects of associates including recruiting, performance management, training & improving results.
- Past management experience.
- Automotive experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- Fundamental business/finance concepts & how to interpret P&L or other financial statements.
- How to research, analyze & develop business plans.
- Able to use Microsoft Office Products, email & basic computer skills.
- Position requires travel up to 75%.
