PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Develop and maintain centralized and enterprise-class model lifecycle management systems. Develop and maintain PayPal’s unified model serving infrastructure. Cooperate with analytics teams to deliver risk management solutions. Facilitate rapid deployment of risk control models and features to ensure timely realization of loss savings. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field such as Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 

Special Skill Requirements:

1.              Experience in software engineering in ML Infrastructure roles, with a proven track record of designing and managing large-scale production ML systems. (4 years)

2.              Hands-on experience on managing Kubernetes infrastructure, developing CRDs/controllers, and implementing advanced deployment strategies (shadow deployment, A/B testing, MAB testing). (3 years)

3.              MLOps End-to-End Operation: hands-on experience with industrial end-to-end model lifecycle operation, including data preparation, feature selection, model training, deployment, monitoring, and retirement. (4 years)
