Job Description

NBCUniversal is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Integration Engineer to join our Corporate Technology organization. Our ideal candidate has a background with both manual testing and a scripting language, as well as experience with software design patterns and a passion for building out strong systems from multiple pieces. 

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a diverse set of affiliate brand platforms and their integrations into our compliance systems. You will work closely with leaders from engineering, legal and product teams to translate the needs of the business into solutions using principled and well-designed technical solutions. 

This position is on our Privacy Team servicing our entire portfolio of affiliate brands. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Engage as part of an Agile scrum software development team contributing to scrum ceremonies and collaborating with product owners and other engineers 
  • Understand systems design documents and contribute meaningfully to discussions relating to system design 
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality integrations by developing optimized, scalable, and maintainable workflows 
  • Perform root cause analysis for issues identified within the application and design efficient solutions 
  • Participate and provide input in project code reviews 
  • Provide mentorship and coaching for team members on best practices 

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of professional experience working with integrated systems (testing and vendor platforms) 
  • Proficiency with manual testing either from QA or Development  
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve technical issues and communicate root causes for these issues effectively
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms 
  • Familiarity working with HTTP methods, API endpoints, and status codes 
  • Experience with scripting languages 
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Experience in forecasting, numerical optimization, natural language processing, deep learning or machine learning techniques. 
  • Experience with external authentication for 3rd party applications and their APIs 
  • Ability to produce quality technical documentation

  • Familiarity with Visual Studio and Postman tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Knowledge and comfort with Agile development methodologies 
  • Experience working remotely and with widely distributed teams 
  • Ability to effectively document work via JIRA
