Senior Software Development Lead

METECS is an engineering and applied technology company that provides high-fidelity simulation and software development for commercial customers in the agriculture, energy, construction, and sports marketing industries.  Many of our solutions involve VR and AR technologies.

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Lead to guide our web and mobile applications development team.  Your responsibilities will include overseeing the software development lifecycle, maintaining up-to-date industry and market knowledge, and to reinforce a culture of high-quality software development. 
 
Responsibilities: 
 

• Collaborate with the development teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies 
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design concepts into interactive and visually appealing experiences 
• Provide technical estimates and perform technical risk assessments for project planning  
• Making sure that solution meets regulatory, security, industry standards and contractual requirements. 
• Deliver high quality projects and products on-time and on-budget
• Coaching and mentoring the development team to grow our skill base 
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives  

 
Required:
 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field 
• 8+ years of experience as a Web and Mobile Applications Developer  
• 3+ Years as a Web and Mobile Applications Team Lead 
• Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining full stack, end-to-end applications including enterprise solutions, iOS and Android mobile development 
• Languages: JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS, NWJS or Electron, C / C++, C# 
• Web Frameworks: One or more SPA frameworks (i.e. Angular, React, or Vue) 
• Data Solutions: SQL, NoSQL, JSON, XML, Object Relational Manager (ORM) / Object Document Mapper (ODM), Extract Transfer Load (ETL), GraphDB, Cloud storage & replication 
• Ability to translate UI designs to application implementation
• Able to effectively analyze project requirements and create execution plans
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills 
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology, processes, and tools 
• Must be a team player with excellent leadership, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills 

Desired: 
 

• DevOps: SSH, SCP, Linux command-line skills, PM2, NGINX or Apache 
• Graphic Engines: Unreal Engine or Unity Game Engine 
• MobaXterm or shell understanding
