Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience implementing ISP/OSP distribution systems, including fiber and copper infrastructure installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Survey ISP/OSP infrastructure to assess current systems and plan for improvements.
  • Design cable plant solutions to ensure efficient and effective network connectivity.
  • Inspect installation quality to ensure all systems meet industry standards and requirements.
  • Document infrastructure to maintain accurate records of installations and updates.
  • Test connectivity to verify the proper functionality of the network systems.
  • Maintain existing systems, ensuring continued performance and reliability.
  • Support migrations by ensuring smooth transitions and minimal service interruptions.
  • Create materials lists to ensure the proper resources are available for installations and upgrades.
 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in relevant field 

  •  

    Strong understanding of ISP/OSP fundamentals

  •  

    Proficiency in cable testing and troubleshooting

  •  

    Expertise in fiber splicing techniques

  •  

    Experience with infrastructure design and implementation

  •  

    Skilled in technical documentation and reporting

  • Must have an active Secret clearance

CERTIFICATIONS

  • BICSI Technician or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with DoD infrastructure systems
  • Proficiency in project coordination and management
  • Skilled in AutoCAD for design and drafting
