As a Principal Manufacturing Engineer focused on OEE and SPC, you will play a key role in advancing operational excellence across our manufacturing network. This is a highly visible opportunity to lead impactful improvement initiatives, partner across functions, and help build sustainable manufacturing capabilities that support quality, efficiency, and innovation. This role can be based at any major US Medtronic Manufacturing location with preference for Rice Creek, MN or Tempe, AZ

         

         

  • Lead OEE and SPC deployment across manufacturing lines and processes

  • Drive improvements in manufacturing performance, quality, and efficiency using a systems-based approach

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to plan, implement, and sustain operational improvements

  • Coach teams on OEE and SPC methodologies, KPI standards, and continuous improvement practices

  • Support process design, equipment optimization, and production readiness to meet business and regulatory requirements

  • Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and consultants to deliver implementation milestones

  • Provide onsite leadership, including Hypercare support, to ensure adoption, data accuracy, and long-term sustainability

  • Travel up to 25%


 

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of Operations, Manufacturing or Quality experience OR Master’s Degree with 5+ years OR PhD with 3+ years of experience

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  • Experience deploying OEE/SPC projects

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
