The Mobility Aftermarket division (MA) provides the aftermarket and repair shops worldwide with modern diagnostic and repair shop equipment and a wide range of spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. About 13,000 associates in more than 150 countries, as well as a global logistics network, ensure that spare parts reach customers quickly and on time. MA supplies testing and repair-shop technology, diagnostic software, service training, and information services. In addition, the division is responsible for the “Bosch Service” repair-shop franchise, one of the world’s largest independent chains of repair-shops.

Job Description

• Join our team as a Global Lead/Senior Buyer, responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for assigned material fields.
• You will coordinate and plan all commercial aspects of supplier management for European suppliers, such as the analysis and conclusion of new parts, preparation, and execution of annual price negotiations, and necessary contracts with suppliers.
• Furthermore, you will analyze and compare offers and prepare sourcing decisions, identifying cost-saving potentials, and implementing them.
• It is essential that you also ensure capacities at suppliers and maintain “ cool head ” in bottleneck management.
• You will perform supplier evaluation/selection and coordinate supplier monitoring. In this role, you are responsible for Global market research, and potentially identifying new challengers.
• Additionally, you will be responsible for the support and development of the supplier portfolio in the respective material field, as well as monitoring and improving the supplier Quality-Cost-Delivery (Q-C-D) performance.
• Lastly, you will monitor and perform supplier risk management.

Qualifications

• Education: completed university studies (bachelor's or master's degree/diploma/PhD) in industrial engineering, engineering, business administration or a comparable subject
• Experience and Knowledge: several years of professional experience in purchasing or related purchasing functions, technical understanding, negotiation experience, experience in an intercultural context, SAP/R3 user knowledge, proficient with common MS Office tools
• Personality and Working Practice: You are an analytical and reliable team player with high degree of initiative and entrepreneurial thinking; your strengths include ability to work independent, proactive and target-oriented approach in negotiations; You have a structured and diplomatic way of working with intercultural social competence; willingness to travel worldwide completes your profile
• Languages: business fluent in written and spoken English with a basic understanding of the German language; additional languages are a plus
