Cloud Governance and FinOps Manager

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Cloud Governance and FinOps Manager. The qualified applicant is responsible for the startup, organization and management of the cloud governance program, ensures that cloud governance is baked into all engineering, provisioning and maintenance activities. Manages Cloud FinOps to enable transparency and accountability for cloud spend.  The FinOps manager will assist in any relevant transition-out activities and hand over the tasking to a successor contractor with no disruption in service or service quality. This position offers a Hybrid telework. Must be able to work onsite as needed. The qualified candidate must be local to the DMV ( DC. MD, VA) area. 

 

 What you will do: 

• Responsible for the administration, planning, tasking, scheduling, communications, problem resolution, deliverables, and technical performance of the project activities defined in the Task Order Statements of Work (SOW) related to Cloud Governance and FinOps.
• Assist Program Manager in P&L responsibilities and present program status to executives at program reviews
• Serves as Peraton’s primary point of contact to the customer team lead for governance and FinOps related items. Interacts with client to understand project requirements, timelines, resources available, and existing assets to leverage.
• Provides status and monthly reports regarding the tracking and presentation of Financial and Budget data deliverables.

This position is contingent upon proposal award

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience. Additional years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree
• 10 years of demonstrated project management, planning, organizing, staffing, reporting, coordinating, and directing all aspects of a project from inception through completion
• 10 years technical and project management experience, including diverse experience in the development, integration, operations and/or maintenance of complex systems and technologies
• 10 years of demonstrated project management and customer focus experience with development teams and projects.
• 5 years of demonstrated AWS Cloud migration, governance and FinOps management experience.
• Ability to respond effectively to changing events and competing priorities
• Effective oral and written communications skills, capable of translating and presenting complex technical and project management concepts to management and customers, through presentations and other written formats
• Working knowledge of SharePoint
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
• AWS Practitioner / AWS Architect Certification
• Customer account management and business development experience

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
