We are hiring a Part-Time Childcare Assistant to join our Everett team. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in meeting the increasing demand for behavioral health services in our Puget Sound region. The hours for this role are Saturday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm only. The pay for this position is $20.00 an hour.
Requirements
- Provide childcare for children aged 1-12 years old.
- Ensure children are signed in and out in accordance with THS childcare policies.
- Assist the Childcare Supervisor in maintaining an attractive, clean, and safe childcare environment.
- Develop and lead engaging childcare activities tailored to the individual needs of the children present.
- Create and maintain incident reports as necessary per THS childcare policies.
- Attend all required meetings, workshops, and retreats.
- Punctuality is essential in this role.
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
- Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent.
- One year of relevant work experience; some experience in social or early childhood development is preferred.
- Self-motivated, compassionate, energetic, and capable of maintaining clear and healthy boundaries with clients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating activities for children of all ages.
- Understanding of early child development principles, with the ability to create a safe environment and interact with children and their parents warmly and respectfully.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy, working effectively with families and children from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in de-escalating communication issues as they arise.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule as required.
- Completion of CPR and First Aid Certifications within the specified timeframe by THS.
- Possession of or ability to obtain HIV/AIDS, First Aid, and CPR training within 60 days of employment.
