This Program Assistant is responsible for completing clerical and administrative tasks to support the Refugee &
Asylee Program at Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains. The position provides support to programs
serving refugees, asylees, victims of trafficking and other immigrants.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• Assists resettlement staff to open, maintain, and close client files.
• Reviews and tracks required documentation and manages filing according to regulatory requirements and
agency policies.
• Assists with file audits to ensure compliance.
• Completes data entry including document scanning and reporting using the agency's electronic data
systems.
• Assists resettlement staff with distribution of assistance to clients, obtaining client signatures, and mailing
documents to clients.
• Serves as backup for the front desk receptionist, welcoming clients and guests and answering the phone.
• Straightens and organizes common areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, able to utilize electronic data systems, and able to use
other equipment such as the copier, scanner, and calculator.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly in verbal and written form.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be detail-oriented, with good organizational skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
• Possesses a valid Colorado driver's license; has a reliable and consistently available vehicle; and must
carry automobile liability insurance at the level of 100,000/300,000/100,000.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). One or more years of clerical or administrative work
experience and/or training preferred.
