What We're Looking For in a Highly Qualified Candidate:
English Language Arts Teacher
- Deep understanding of reading and writing instruction aligned with grade-level standards
- Ability to foster a love of literature while building foundational literacy and analytical skills
- Skilled in guiding students through the writing process, from brainstorming to revision
- Strong use of data to drive instruction and close reading gaps
- Experience with differentiated instruction to support diverse learning needs
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field (Master's preferred)
- Valid Michigan teaching certification or the ability to obtain one
- Previous classroom experience at the middle school level strongly preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to student achievement, equity, and growth
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Salary Range: Starting pay 50,000.00 (negotiable)
Pay increases based on experience.
Starting Date: 2026 - 2027 School Year
Retirement: 401K with 4% and another 4% matching by the school
