Job Description

QC Technician II

Purpose of the Position

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a QC Technician II and be part of a team that is dedicated to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer! You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our laboratory's analytical tasks and supporting our ambitious research goals.

Responsibilities

Analysis

  • Operate, monitor, and manage laboratory analytical equipment, ensuring flawless performance and reporting any issues.
  • Conduct physical, chemical, and physico-chemical tests on raw materials and packaging according to established methods.
  • Validate analytical methods following specific training.
  • Manage laboratory documentation effectively, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
  • Evaluate materials for laboratory activities, ensuring strict adherence to procurement procedures.
  • Dispose of laboratory waste per EHS procedures.

Analytical Support

  • Assist the Team Leader/Supervisor in managing routine checks and extra-analytical activities.
  • Support external service companies in sampling and sample preparation.
  • Ensure accurate management and calibration of laboratory instruments.
  • Maintain and verify analytical documentation, ensuring traceability and compliance.
  • Coordinate technical training for laboratory personnel.
  • Draft and revise procedures to ensure continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
  • Verify and supervise the application of quality standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential

  • Diploma in Chemistry or related field; Degree preferred
  • Proficient in common analytical techniques and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of GMP and data integrity principles
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Great teammate with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English

Desirable

  • Experience in a multinational pharmaceutical company
  • Previous international work experience
  • Experience in FDA-certified companies
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively
