Description

Looking for a paralegal to support BlackRock’s U.S. registered fund and retail separately managed account (SMA) businesses.  Responsibilities include:

• Support workflow and review of SEC filings, including fund shareholder reports and annual registration statements
• Review requests for information (RFPs), due diligence questionnaires and quarterly certification materials in support of BlackRock’s 1940 Act sub-advisory business
• Support fund board activities, including maintenance of board minute books, and fund contracts
• Assist with preparing and reviewing closed-end fund Section 16 filings and other regulatory filings
• Provide support to certain aspects of BlackRock’s retail SMA platform
• Support legal billing process for the team
• Coordinate review and negotiation of non-disclosure and other form agreements under supervision of attorneys
• Assist in drafting and proofreading various legal documents
• Field general requests from sales support teams
• Provide support on other strategic projects as required

Requirements

• Corporate paralegal with 1-3 years’ experience in a leading national law firm
• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, organized, resourceful and detail oriented
•  Candidate will be expected to manage a large volume of concurrent tasks within specific timeframes, with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness in work
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and an ability to interact comfortably with senior managers and other levels of personnel
• Proficiency in Excel and Word
• Undergraduate college degree (BA/BS)
