Senior/Staff Electrolyte Scientist

About the Job

As Senior Electrolyte Scientist, you’re helping lead our charge to develop advanced polymer electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries and beyond. You will work with Anthro leadership to design and implement novel electrolyte components and additives for a wide range of battery applications. As an early team member, you will proactively shape the scientific and strategic vision of Anthro.

What you will do

• Design and conduct thoughtful experiments, analyze data, and interpret experimental results
• Develop polymer materials and electrolyte formulations for a wide range of battery applications
• Work with engineers to translate scientific discoveries into production-ready prototypes
• Contribute to the development of Anthro’s IP roadmap
• Assist with preparation and execution of government grants
• Prepare presentations and report on progress at internal meetings
• Work in-person, on-site at Anthro’s lab in San Jose

Requirements

• PhD in STEM field and/or extensive (5+ years) in industrial R&D setting related to polymers and/or batteries
• A hands-on researcher with demonstrated scientific accomplishments
• Comfortable working with advanced polymer materials and battery systems
• An excellent communicator and team player
• Able to manage multiple workflows and projects
• Ambitious, looking to increase your responsibility in a fast growing company
