Project Manager

Our next Project Manager will have a high level of confidence in their abilities to manage projects from start to finish, manage anywhere from $250,000 to $4M projects and have a strong interest in hands-on field work, particularly in the bridge and precast construction areas.

Responsibilities:

• Manages and coordinates all aspects of the project, including financial performance
• Maximizes the performance to budget and gross margin of each project within the context of the High philosophy
• Serves as primary customer contact after the sale with a focus on excellent communication (frequent, proactive, professional and positive)
• Resolution of any field problems and enlists assistance from the General Manager 
• Management of the cash collections of each assigned project
• Involvement in sales and estimating process by assisting in identification of projects, assisting in preparing quantity take-offs, and the preparation of cost estimates for the erection of bridges, both steel and precast, and precast structures, such as, parking garages

Important Areas of Expertise:

• Bachelor’s degree, Business or Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant project management experience in steel bridge and or precast bridge or garage erection
• Experience in all facets of contract administration and accounts receivables/ collections required
• Prior experience in contract negotiations and demonstrated problem solving skills required
• Effective communication skills required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software, SAP and other project management programs preferred

Important Details:

• This position reports to the General Manager (High Structural Erectors LLC)
• There is 25-50% travel to job sites, meetings with contractors or coordinating job status.  Most job sites are in the PA, DE, VA, MD and NY area. Some overnight travel, roughly 1 overnight per month.
