What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials, you’ll dive deep into ground-breaking technologies—like machine learning and AI—pushing the boundaries to craft novel software solutions that solve our customers’ high-value problems. You’ll work on interesting and challenging projects, contributing your expertise in intricate systems, deciphering code, and anticipating software behaviors to ensure Applied remains the leader in the semiconductor and display sectors.

Role Responsibilities:
Design and prototype software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices
Design common software modules and libraries for use across multiple products
Troubleshoot software problems of limited difficulty and implement bug fixes.
Perform software tests on code and enhancements
Develop software documentation
Interface with internal customers for requirement analysis
Compile data for reports, analysis, and statements
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
Proficiency and experience in at least one of the following languages: C#, Java, C++
Programming experience in any of the following areas a plus: DBMS (SQL/no-SQL),
Multithreading, Performance Profiling, TCP Sockets, REST/gRPC, Generative AI
