Our Group specializes in the design, construction, and operation of unique and complex research and development facilities, including, as examples, wind tunnels (aerospace, automotive, and motorsports), rocket test stands, climatic chambers, jet engine test cells, acoustic chambers, altitude test facilities, captive trajectory systems, and nuclear facilities. Our projects span the automotive, motorsports, defense, nuclear, and aerospace markets. We are looking for a Mid-Level Project Coordinator to support projects ranging from small studies to multi-million dollar turn-key supply. A successful candidate must be team-oriented, organized, able to communicate to all levels of the organization, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate will assist project team members and provides guidance and recommendations. Duties include assisting project team by coordinating various deliverables relating to workflow planning, scheduling, estimating, scope gathering, contracting, installation and delivery, turnover, and general project communications. Candidate will assist project managers on various sized projects but typically larger, longer duration projects. On occasion controls use of company resources within project scope as project manager, those projects typically are within hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) in design procure cost or 500 hours of professional services.
A. FUNCTION OF POSITION
Responsible for assisting project managers on capital expenditure engineering and construction projects including coordinating scheduling, cost estimating, procurement, change management, and interfacing with internal team, customers, and suppliers. On occasion may be asked to manage small projects of limited scope/cost.
Considers multiple perspectives to identify different solutions.
Assists others in resolving issues based on existing solutions and procedures.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
1. Supports project managers by gathering project deliverable information and working with team members to coordinate workflows and codify project scheduling activities.
2. Supports project managers with team communications, project planning, specifications and requirement criteria identification, and gathering cost and schedule estimates; assists in development of new business opportunities.
3. Works independently with guidance in only the most complex or technical situations.
4. Tracks progress of project work and resource usage, informs project managers of problem areas, and recommends corrective action, as needed. Assists project manager with Client-side project tracking deliverables. Works with team member to gather business information such as ETCs and change request estimates and pricing.
