- Quality
- Understands specimen requirements for each test and evaluates specimen for proper identification and integrity through visual checks and result evaluation
- Ability to recognize discrepant or unexpected test results,correlating data and monitoring results for reasonableness. Includes troubleshooting and documentation.
- Follows protocol for instrument maintenance, running controls and accepting, verifying and recording q.c. results.
- Recognizes and refers problems and questions outside of own expertise to appropriate supervisory personnel.
- Reports critical values to appropriate personnel with proper documentation to include read back.

- Adheres to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Complies with regulatory standards applicable to area(s) of responsibility.
- Complies with organizational/departmental policies and procedures including, but not limited to, confidentiality, safety, cooperation, flexibility and attendance.

- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Technology
- LSBME licensed or permit as CLS-T
