About the role

Do you want to use your Salesforce expertise to drive impact in a global organization working for people and the planet? Is your ambition to make a positive sustainability impact by building, configuring, optimizing and automating technology solutions that deliver business value? If so, then our Senior Salesforce Administrator, Developer and Architect role might be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you can expect:

At Preferred by Nature, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Salesforce professional to lead the evolution of our highly customized Salesforce platform. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a core business system used daily by over 340 globally distributed staff, while contributing to sustainable land management and responsible supply chains worldwide.

This is not a narrow admin or developer position. You will work equally across Salesforce administration, development, and architecture. Your work will directly influence and improve how our organization operates—from business processes and data integrity to long-term platform strategy.

You’ll partner closely with users across departments to deeply understand their needs, translate those into scalable solutions, and lead the charge in simplifying and optimizing our Salesforce system. Your leadership and technical vision will be key to making our system more agile, user-friendly, and aligned with future growth.

You will work alongside an existing team of Salesforce specialists to ensure seamless system functionality, customization, and continuous improvement of our data ecosystem.

Working with us is never routine so the first year you can expect the following areas to be central to your work:

  • Assess and own the full lifecycle of our Salesforce ecosystem—from strategic planning to solution delivery.
  • Lead design and development of streamlined processes, custom automations, and user-focused experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Simplify a complex system, reducing technical debt and ensuring it remains responsive and fit for purpose.
  • Train and support users to ensure adoption of best practices and tools.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on Salesforce innovations, evaluating and applying them to meet business needs.

Your first year with us:

Within three months, you will:

  • Gain a deep understanding of Preferred by Nature’s mission, systems, and procedures, with a focus on Salesforce implementation and administration.
  • Establish key relationships with business and technical stakeholders to understand system requirements and ongoing projects.
  • Assess the current Salesforce setup, identify immediate areas for improvement, and ensure data security and compliance processes are in place.

Within six months, you will:

  • Lead the execution of enhancements in Salesforce, including optimizing user access hierarchy, user experience, automating business processes, and refining data management practices.
  • Implement changes to business processes, ensuring seamless integration with Salesforce while minimizing disruptions.
  • Provide training and technical support to internal users, ensuring effective adoption and best practices in Salesforce utilization.

Within one year, you will:

  • Serve as the Salesforce technical lead for development projects, collaborating with teams to design and implement strategic improvements.
  • Develop a long-term strategy for Salesforce enhancements, aligning system capabilities with business needs and evolving technology trends, and potential recommendation for structural changes to our Salesforce system.
  • Establish reporting frameworks and dashboards to provide data-driven insights for decision-making at various organizational levels.

Important that you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator (certification required), also with demonstrated experience as a developer and system architect
  • Extensive experience in developing, debugging and implementing flows.
  • Experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Salesforce architecture, automation tools (Flows, Process Builder, Workflows), and security management.
  • Familiarity with data migration, integrations, and ETL tools.
  • Knowledge of Apex programming, Visualforce
