Job Information
Assistant Director, Clinical Trial Financial Group for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S (HQ: Chicago, IL).The Assistant Director provides direct management and oversight of the budget negotiations, and/or post-award financial management for clinical trials with the Biological Sciences Division (BSD).
Responsibilities include: directly managing a team of individuals responsible for performing clinical trial pre-award or post-award activities across the BSD; building and negotiating clinical trial budgets and contract terms on behalf of faculty with industry, federal, and private funding agencies; providing leadership in the execution and negotiation of clinical trial budgets, master clinical trial rate cards and pricing agreements with industry sponsors and partners; serving as local expert in clinical budgeting and compliance; align SOPs and ensure consistent processes across Clinical Trials Financial Group and BSD; developing metrics to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained and key objectives are attained.

Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, finance or closely related field
Experience:
- Seven years' experience of progressive experience in clinical research coordination, research project management or related field required
Required Skills:
- Experience with: (1) academic medical operations; (2) clinical research funding sources; (3) federal and non-federal regulations for grant writing; (4) federal and non-federal grant and contract policies for academic and medical research; (5) building and negotiating clinical trial budgets; and (6) developing and applying performance metrics. 100% Telecommuting permitted.
