Overview

                                                                                                                                                          ��               Job Summary

Performs various accounting and analytical duties related to federal, state, and local income tax compliance. Provide research support for internal departments. Provide support for investor relations and reporting for LLC units and option transactions. Performs other related work.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare documents, work papers, and returns to comply with federal, state and local income tax reporting requirements.
• Work with outside tax firm to prepare annual income tax returns for partnership and S corp.
• Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments to federal, state, and local taxing agencies.
• Maintain working knowledge of ongoing tax law changes and provides updates to internal departments on applicable laws.
• Assist with federal, state and local tax compliance research projects as needed.
• Assist with entity registrations, annual reports and maintaining assumed business names in applicable states for multiple entities.
• Assist with ongoing review of tax depreciation schedules.
• Provide support for administration of unit option plan and unit holder reporting requirements. Also assist in answering questions from equity partners regarding information and routine compliance matters.
• Perform all job duties and responsibilities with honesty and integrity.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

                                                                                                                                                                           Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a financial account or staff accountant role.

Experience:

• At least two (2) years in a position demonstrating an ability to apply knowledge of federal, state, and local income tax laws.
• Utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills dealing with a variety of tax and business scenarios with close attention to detail.
• Effectively prioritizing and performing a variety of simultaneous tasks (multi-tasking) in a high-pressure environment, demonstrating initiative and self-direction to complete projects within expected deadlines or defined time estimates.
• Demonstrating proficiency with numerical data and calculations.
• Demonstrating proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software with a strong emphasis in excel functions.
• Utilizing excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills to establish and maintain a good rapport with co-workers, Supervisors, store personnel and vendors.

 

Preferred Experience:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master’s degree or equivalent.
