Job Description
YOUR TASKS
These roles involve inspecting and repairing tires in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Both positions require attention to quality standards, use of tools and computer systems, and strong troubleshooting skills. Employees must be team-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible with shift work and overtime.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Inspect green and finished tires for visual defects and reroute or mark as needed
- Perform major tire repairs, including cutting, trimming, and buffing with hand tools
- Read and follow specifications, instructions, and quality requirements
- Operate computer systems, scanning devices, gauging tools, and control panels (automatic and manual)
- Work to meet or exceed individual production goals and efficiency standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with plant policies
- Respond quickly to equipment downtime and report issues to supervisors
- Be self-managed, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure
- Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
THE ENVIRONMENT
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection, safety shoes, safety glasses (as needed)
- 12-hour 2-2-3 pattern (panama) shift 6:45-7:00 (can be either days or nights) including every other weekend and overtime as needed
- Training schedule before being assigned a shift is Monday-Friday 4:30am-12:00pm
- The job is within a climate-controlled environment and you will be exposed forklift and pedestrian traffic and noise
- The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting tires/material and operating machinery and tools, with comprehensive training provided
- This role starts at $18.11 an hour. If internal candidates are offered, pay may change depending on current hourly rate
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more of the following:
- One or more years’ experience in manufacturing environment, other relevant experience, or military
- Associate's degree or higher
- Work Keys or WIN scores that meet below requirements

- Applied Math - a score of at least 3 or higher
- Reading for Information (or Workplace Documents) - a score of at least 4 or higher
- Locating Information (or Graphic Literacy) - a score of at least 4 or higher
