Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking multiple 737 MAX Development Airworthiness and Regulatory Engineer (Mid-Level, Senior, or Principal) to join our Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO) organization. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level, Senior, and Principal 737 MAX Development Airworthiness and Regulatory Engineers. These positions are in Everett, WA and Renton, WA.

Position responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the development of issue papers

  • Assessing certification plans Developing certification approaches/strategies with the Federal Aviation Authorities (FAA), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and technical focal across the enterprise

  • Assisting in the development of technical briefs for domestic and foreign regulators Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions

  • Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces

  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success

  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes

  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Everett, WA or Renton, WA sites.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Experience working 14 CFR Part 25 and EASA CS-25 aspects

  • Experience with regulatory agencies' procedures and process

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Senior: 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Principal: 10+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of integration, verification, and certification processes

  • Knowledge of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs)
