Minerals Operator / CDL - Hartwell, GA

Day Work

 

The Minerals Operator will start up, shut down, and operate in a safe, efficient manner the Power Screening and Minerals Separation Facility.  They will operate mobile equipment to include dump truck, front end loader, bulldozer and power screen, and effectively communicate process variables to co-workers and coordinators.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Inspect equipment daily for a pre-shift inspection, maintain and clean assigned machine/equipment/area.
• Operate a dump truck to transport material between facilities at the Hartwell Site.
• Operate a dozer, track hoe and front-end loader for material logistics.
• Start-up / shut down, monitor Mineral Separation Facility.
• Perform water testing pH.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and reports equipment malfunctions using the SAP maintenance notification system.
• Participate in the continuous improvement processes using the Simply Dare and Behavioral Safety programs.

 

Education & Experience:

 

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
• Be able to work 8-hr shifts (7-3, 3-11, or 11-7) and work weekends as needed.
• Manual dexterity, ascent, descent steps, stairs and/or ladders
• Oral and written skills to communicate and maintain accurate records
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Apps)
• Able to hear to decode communication and detect potential problems w/the machines
• Able to lift 60 lbs, walk, sit squat, bend, push/pull w/arms, legs, body, reach overhead and stoop
• Able to work in variable climate temps

 

Preferred:

 

• Associate’s degree
