Are you ready for duty?</p><p></p><p><b><u>The role</u></b></p><p>As the (Senior) Integration Engineer Interior with a specialization in Joinery of Accommodation and Technical Spaces at Damen Naval you will be essential in ensuring the successful subcontracting and detailed engineering of <span>joinery/accommodation</span> systems for our naval vessels. Your expertise will transform design concepts into precise technical specifications, oversee the engineering process, and maintain compliance with stringent quality standards.</p><p></p><p><b><u>Key accountabilities</u></b></p><p>In this role, your responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li><p>Develop functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements.</p></li><li><p>Create detailed technical specifications for joinery works, adhering to industry standards and regulations.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to select suitable materials and suppliers for accommodation joinery and insulation.</p></li><li><p>Support quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure finished joinery meets required standards.</p></li><li><p>Provide technical support and guidance to the production team, resolving any issues that arise during the project.</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate documentation of joinery specifications, changes, and project progress.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of joinery works with other ship systems.</p></li><li><p>Stay updated with industry developments and best practices related to joinery works, incorporating them into projects where appropriate.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Skills & experience</u></b><br/>To excel as (Senior) Integration Engineer Interior, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Civil Architecture, or related field.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience as Technical Specification Engineer or similar role, focusing on joinery works in the maritime industry.</p></li><li><p>Deep knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and industry standards.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in CAD software for technical drawings and specifications.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex engineering data.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.</p></li><li><p>Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in English, both written and verbal and knowledge of German is a significant advantage.</p></li><li><p>Excellent references antecedents as a pre-assignment security screening is part of the recruitment procedure.</p></li><li><p>Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
