The Senior/Staff Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that solve complex business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to understand their unique business challenges and objectives, and work to formulate data-driven solutions that address their needs.
- Collaborate with Sales on developing and presenting value propositions to customers.
- Lead end-to-end development of machine learning projects, from problem formulation and data collection to model development, evaluation, and deployment.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build and integrate machine learning solutions into production systems.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain high standards of code quality and best practices.
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations to effectively communicate data-driven recommendations, answer questions, and address concerns.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the machine learning team, fostering their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of professional experience in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks (e.g., H2o, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Demonstrated expertise in various machine learning techniques
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, version control, and agile development methodologies.
- Experience with MLOps experiment tools (e.g. MLFlow, Weights & Biases), feature platforms (e.g. Feast, Tecton), and monitoring platforms
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven track record of leading and delivering complex machine learning projects from conception to deployment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range: $150k - $170k (placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant’s prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location)
