Summer Financial Services Intern (2024) - NYC

At PKF O’Connor Davies, our interns assist in providing quality audit services to the Firm’s clients. Interns are assigned to one of our industry groups to work as a team member on diverse client engagements. Interns get real-world, hands on experience, allowing them to explore a career in public accounting with PKF O’Connor Davies and assisting in executing actual audit projects. From the very beginning, Interns are immersed in PKF O’Connor Davies culture. Interns also receive training to grow and develop their skill set.

Essential Duties:

• Conduct Market Research regarding Digital Assets, Service Providers, and related CPA Services.
• Work with related audit programs regarding Sustainability reviews and examinations.
• Develop relationships with clients and employees.
• Become proficient in assisting clients with routine accounting functions.
• Become familiar with and adhere to the Firm's policies and procedures as they relate to being an efficient and professional team member.
• Draft financial statements under prescribed format.
• Prepare portions of compilation, review and audit engagements.
• Develop a working knowledge of all microcomputer applications, which are routinely used.
• Become knowledgeable about accounting pronouncements and demonstrate an understanding in functions relating to basic income tax.

Qualifications:

• Must be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Potential candidates should have good communication and computer skills and be team players who are motivated to work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Interns must be customer-focused and able to multitask.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $26.00 - $28.00/hour. Final offer amounts will be dependent upon office location as well as the individual’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
