Sr. Automation Systems Technician – 1st Shift

How You'll Create Possibilities

Equipment Expertise

  • Be the go-to technical resource for troubleshooting and maintaining automation systems and PLCs in your area.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with robotics, servos, scanners, and other advanced systems.

  • Enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by ensuring maximum equipment availability, performance, and quality.

  • Collaborate with Engineering to implement necessary equipment upgrades.

  • Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and refine Preventative Maintenance Plans.
     

Safety Champion

  • Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards.

  • Employ proper PPE and Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

  • Foster a culture of safety in every task you undertake.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or higher in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Technology, Robotics, or related field, preferred OR equivalent experience of 3+ years in automation or electrical systems within high-volume manufacturing.

  • Expertise with PLCs (preferably GE/Emerson) and Fanuc robots.

  • Solid understanding of control, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

  • Solid understanding how PLCs, Robots, and other automation equipment work and the ability to set up, program, and maintain this equipment.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to analyze automation equipment issues to implement solutions.
  • Advanced computer skills – high proficiency in Microsoft office products with the ability to grasp new systems quickly.
  • Solid verbal/written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with hourly and salary personnel to meet the needs of operators and the shop.
  • High initiative, self-starter, proactive, dedicated, results oriented.
  • Eligible to work overtime based on business needs.
