JOB SUMMARY:

All Harrah’s employees are expected to deliver truly great service, and to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our guests.  Employees must work well as a team, maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and gaming regulations.  For Bartenders, here are specific details.

 

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of  Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
• Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests
• Prepare beverages as ordered
• Build relationships with guests
• Keep bar area clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
• Operate a cash register/POS system, ringing proper amount into the register and give a guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities
• Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
• Follow guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Commission and/or NC ABC Commission
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures  in an ethical manner

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required
• One year prior customer service experience required
• Six months experience as a bartender at a full service bar preferred
• Complete documented training program preferred
• Responsible Alcohol Seller/Server Program required
• Serve Safe Certified required
• Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
• Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene

 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to attend to multiple priorities simultaneously
• Must be able to lift  50 pounds
• Must be able to maneuver and tap a keg weighing 165 pounds
• Must be able to be on feet for 8 hour shift
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grasp
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
• Must be able to read, write, speak  and  understand English
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including second hand smoke
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
