Position Summary:

 

The EH&S Corporate Manager’s role is responsible for management of and improvement to the EH&S-EMS programs to reduce risks and increase EH&S performance. By your key position in our company, you will support our environmental and social initiatives to drive progress against our corporate social responsibility and B Corp certification ambitions.

 

What you will Do:

  • Manage various EH&S IT platforms and support the Operating Plants with training and upgrades to software.
  • Manage the data consolidation of EH&S and EMS results.
  • Elaborate official EH&S-EMS KPIs and provides periodic updates to the business unit and at the Group level.
  • Analyze the energy consumptions and elaborate the relative KPIs to support the activity of the EMS network.
  • Support the EH&S Director in coordinating the EMS network keeping track of the action plans.
  • Support designated EH&S site contacts to properly manage post emergency incidents with communications with occupational medical providers and Workers Compensation carrier.
  • Support the plants to manage all training to site personnel on various EH&S policies and programs, including, but not limited to, safety practices, fire prevention, personal protective equipment, regulations and standards, and incident investigation.
  • Identifies and suggests corrective measures to improve the facility’s accident experience and suggest/implement means to achieve EH&S goals.
  • Validates that OSHA recordkeeping requirements are accurate and completed, i.e. OSHA 300 & 300A log, incident notifications, serious accidents, etc.
  • Support the investigation of accidents and injuries and prepare supporting documentation as needed.
  • Regularly inspects facilities to identify existing or potential accidents, health hazards and determines/implements corrective measures where indicated.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What you will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis on EH&S or related fields (science, engineering) preferred.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of OSHA experience; EH&S experience supporting a large manufacturing/production facility required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Workers Compensation requirement.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts; Certification in Safety (CSP) strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven track record of results with bias for action.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to utilize time and resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Sense of urgency, ability to take action quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish expectations, motivate, delegate and get work done through others effectively.
  • Unquestionably high ethical standards and attention to reputational and compliance risks.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment.
