The Opportunity 

 

As a Maintenance Team Leader on the day shift, you will organize schedules and assign all work to be done on production equipment, including daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual rebuilds. You will work closely with the production management and maintenance teams to ensure that the facility is up to the required standards. You will also coach and develop the Maintenance Technicians in the safest and environmentally friendly manner possible. This permanent position will report to the Maintenance Manager and essential functions include but are not limited to the following;

 

  • Maintain and service plant equipment and facilities: Regular checks and servicing of all equipment and facilities in the plant to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Create, improve, manage, and expand preventative maintenance programs: Developing and enhancing programs that prevent equipment failure and increase efficiency.
  • Supervise and direct maintenance personnel with all duties: Overseeing the work of maintenance staff and providing them with necessary guidance.
  • Coordinate facility and utility outages and upgrades: Planning and managing any interruptions in utilities and overseeing facility upgrades.
  • Develop solutions to plant-related problems: Identifying issues in the plant operations and coming up with effective solutions.
  • Conduct audits to ensure employees are performing tasks according to SOPs: Conducting regular checks to ensure all tasks are being performed as per the standard operating procedures.
  • Provide performance coaching to the Maintenance Technicians: Providing necessary training and guidance to the technicians to enhance their performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, business partners, and customers in a professional, honest, and transparent manner: Maintaining open and honest communication with all stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

  

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Requires an Associate’s Degree in maintenance or related field; or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
