Your job, as Senior Production Technician within our B79 Flu Downstream Team, will be to perform production in accordance with volume fluctuation, business need, and effective procedures in the Diphtheria department, part of the bacterial platform in Building 46. This position is responsible for the manufacturing activities in the department. This will be a 1st shift position with a 40hr work schedule

Main Responsibilities:
Completes tasks and corresponding documentation as required by cGMP regulations. Works with all the members from the team to enhance communication, a team work environment as well as productivity.
Participates in all aspects of inventory management (SAP super user, cycle counting, ordering, MDOs, etc.)
Accurate and timely completion of process order and bin to bin to ensure accurate inventory at all times.
Strives to have the area ready for production, anticipating needs ahead of time and working through production challenges in the most safely and productive manner.
Actively on the production floor, working to become trained in all assigned processes and continues development by completing at least one developmental class annually.
Sterile gowning qualification and environmental monitoring training are required.
Completes at least one developmental class per year outside of the core competencies.
Actively seeks out cross training in other areas whenever possible.
Trains and orients new team members (at any level) as assigned in multiple areas in the department.
Understands next steps and works to guide others through the processes. Understands science behind process steps and technology in order to become an expert in their assigned areas.
Follows all procedures put into effect to ensure your safety as well as the safety of others in the department.
Participates in monthly safety meetings and reports all safety issues, concerns, incidents and near misses to the team leadership.
Actively participates in safety walkthroughs coordinated by the area safety team.
Provides input for potential safety issues as well as contributing ideas for corrective and preventative actions.
Works with the safety team to ensure that the resources required to address safety issues are secured in a timely manner and that the effective resolutions are put into place and trained upon.
Ensures proper process area operations, pre and post run set up, as well as the maintenance and calibrations management of the suites and equipment in the department.
Works to complete quality documentation (BPRs, logbooks, etc.) accurately and in a timely manner. Recommends updates and changes to BPRs, and SWIs as needed.
Follows effective procedures to ensure the production of safe and efficacious products made in Diphtheria.
Has a thorough working knowledge of the cGMPs and works to help others understand them. Identifies opportunities to enhance overall efficiency in the department.
Work towards avoiding deviations, and in the event that they are encountered provides support in the investigation, root cause analysis and proper corrective actions.
Strong self-driven work ethic with communication and time management skills.
Commitment to personal and professional development by completing and giving training as well as leadership.
Adaptability to work in a highly regulated work environment where production challenges are encountered in a regular basis.
