Job Summary

The Vice President of Finance and Treasurer is a critical and high-level role within our organization. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Responsibilities include financial strategy and planning, treasury management, external reporting and analysis, compliance and risk management, investment and cash flow management, along with technology and process improvement for the finance team.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies with the CFO to align with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Oversee the organization's treasury function, including cash management, liquidity, and risk management.
  • Develop and execute strategies for optimizing the organization's capital structure.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Provide financial analysis, insights, and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews.

  • Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
  • Manage cash flow to ensure operational needs are met and investment opportunities are maximized.
  • Implement cash flow forecasting and optimization techniques.
  • Oversee the organization's investment portfolio and strategies.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Provide financial expertise in financial modeling and structuring of transactions.
  • Implement and leverage financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and workflows.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree or CPA is often preferred. Extensive experience in finance, treasury, and financial management roles. Strong leadership and managerial skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and treasury best practices.

Work Environment

  • Small-to-large office environment.
  • Fast paced work environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.
  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products and noise.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
