Job Description

The HII Cyber Assessment and C3I Infrastructure team is is looking for a Cybersecurity Architect to support our work with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Cyber Division. This position can be located at either Hanscom Air Force Base or Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

The Cybersecurity Architect will ensure that the stakeholder security requirements necessary to protect the organization's mission and business processes are adequately addressed in all aspects of enterprise architecture including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and the resulting systems supporting those missions and business processes.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. Ensures system security needs established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis. Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis of cyber security features and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues. May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • 8-12 years of experience working in cybersecurity (or related space).
  • Active Secret DoD security clearance (note: US Citizenship is required)
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more areas of cybersecurity
    • DevSecOps security assessments of code built into the Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
    • Deploying, configuring, and securing cloud service offerings in public, private, and hybrid deployment models
    • Auditing cloud environments against DoD Cloud Computing SRG and DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture requirements
    • Security best practices and hardening of Windows, Linux, Virtual Machines, cloud services, and containers
  • Strong understanding of the Risk Management Framework, NIST 800 series, FEDRAMP or working within other compliance policies (examples: PCI DSS, CIS, CCPA)  
  • Experience with security tools, including end point protection, NextGen firewalls, data loss protection, web proxies, intrusion prevention systems, SIEM, and/or vulnerability scanners

Preferred Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Cybersecurity related field

  • CISSP or CISM
