The Training Specialist, Dealer Sales and Operations Position
Sunnova Energy is searching for a talented Training Specialist who will develop, deliver, schedule, and program manage role-focused curricula for Sunnova’s growing Dealer network and Account Management Teams; on company products (including financial products), sales strategies, operations processes and procedures, competition, software, and related topic areas. The Training Specialist reports to one of our Sales Enablement Managers and is a part of the larger Learning and Development organization. This role requires you to have vision and execution chops. Many have one or the other; we need you to have a firm grasp on both. Your skills will be used to manage stakeholder expectations, facilitate communication to the team, and oversee quality and fiscal management. This is a highly visible position with exposure to Sunnova’s leadership and the entire Dealer network. You will be required to multi-task and be willing to take on various learning, development, training, and support responsibilities.

Training Specialist, Dealer Sales and Operations Responsibilities
- Run weekly webinars and in-person training.
- Spend approximately 30-60% of your time physically working with and coaching teams in the field and/or Account Managers.
- Consult with the L&D Managers (Sales Enablement and Learning Design) and support Sunnova business leaders to ensure appropriate learning and development needs are met.
- Collaborate with internal Sunnova Dealer Sales and Operations leadership and stakeholders on overall L&D initiatives, training plans, strategies, and alignments to ensure full adoption of training programs and educational initiatives, as well as track the progress of these endeavors.
- Discover and aid in designing eLearning and training content, tools, and assessments for knowledge transfer and ongoing development.
- Perform individual coaching sessions or ride-alongs to evaluate and guide processes.
- Analyze data to identify the problem(s) and develop solutions.
- Drive adoption and full utilization of program tools, incentives, and initiatives.
- Create and follow service-level agreements with leadership teams from various departments.
- Set performance goals, measure results, and report metrics via SFDC, Tableau, Looker, monday.com, etc.
- Creates training objectives and metrics to assess if objectives are met.
- Effectively manage own deadlines and complete multiple projects.
- Showcase our Dealer Sales and Ops process from lead generations to in-service and transfer that knowledge to the appropriate audience.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Quota-carrying sales experience a plus
- 2-4 years of experience in sales, sales operations, learning and development, sales training, sales operations enablement, and/or sales enablement, with a focus on B2B, B2C field sales, channel sales, inside sales, and/or operations administration procedures.
- Proven ability to facilitate virtual and live instructor-led sales training (on products, processes, or skills-related training topics) using Zoom and/or MS Teams platforms.
- The ability to think strategically is grounded in the tactical execution of the vision.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage shifting priorities.
- Professionalism, confidence, and polish to engage upstream with executives, downstream with the Dealers, and across business units with Legal, Marketing, Product, Dealer Support Desk, Project Coordinators, Business Development Sales Teams, Operations, Engineering, IT, and other groups within the company. You are required to have the ability to influence and gain acceptance from others on sales, operations, and process training initiatives.
