Summary

Capital Planning Subfunction: Performs technical validation on project scope and objectives, including project cost benefit analysis and project prioritization on PGE’s capital investments.  Manage intake of new capital projects and programs through ideation, evaluation, technical scope development and project authorization and ensures projects deliver on expected value and benefits aligns with corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Engineering Standards: Maintains currency in state-of-the-art engineering practices and discerns need for and provides guidance and direction to colleagues on engineering processes and standards. 

  • Engineering Validation: Verifies a variety of complex engineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects, including establishing work plans to be applied. 

  • Portfolio Management: Facilitates the portfolio intake and prioritization process, including alignment to standards. Performs technical review of proposed project or program and proposes scope changes to ensure the project delivers the expected value and benefits. Assists leadership with tracking of incoming project work. Conducts and supports regular meetings (monthly, quarterly and annually) to review new portfolio requests and determine priority.
