Description

OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will provide extensive support to our workforce and be responsible for the administration of HR policies and procedures. In this role, you will be a business partner to managers, and you will work with employees to provide ‘hands-on’ support on all HR-related matters. This position requires a demonstrated competence in multiple HR functional areas including, but not limited to employee relations, performance management, legal compliance, benefits, engagement, and employee training and development.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist the Human Resources Manager in all employee-related activities.
  • Partner with managers and provide day-to-day guidance on HR matters, help align people management practices that support and drive high performance. 
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances effectively, including conducting investigations when necessary. 
  • Attend and participate in employee probation period and disciplinary meetings, as well as terminations; Execute all employee termination procedures, including advising employees on their rights and any benefits they are entitled to.
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance, support, and feedback to managers with the aim of preventing employee concerns. 
  • Educate and guide employees on HR policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Support the development and implementation of improvements to HR processes.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing HR workflows, devising solutions to automate and streamline processes.
  • Support all HR related audits and filings.
  • Administer all requests for leave of absence including short term disability and all state mandated leaves.
  • High comprehension with FMLA/ADA regulations, including partnering with leaders on how to manage leave requests and accommodations.
  • Develop and support initiatives to maintain a high level of employee engagement.
  • Lead the Employee Engagement Group and all recognition related activities. 
  • Administer/provide employee support for the benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Manage the HR information systems (HRIS) and databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and generating reports for HR metrics and analytics.
  • Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. 
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Responsible for updating the employee handbook with all state’s requirements. 
  • Assists with other HR related duties and projects as necessary.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of all HR functions and best practices.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong problem-solving skills, good organizational skills, attention to detail as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, meet critical deadlines and manage various projects;. 
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws as well as government regulations;. 
  • Ability to form positive and constructive relationships with managers and employees; .
  • Strong ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality of information.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • None 


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 7 years of experience in Human Resources 
  • Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system
  • The training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics must be diligently completed within 30 days from the hiring date and on an annual basis


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification is highly preferred
