The Impact You'll Make
Danfoss in Ames has an opening for a Team Coordinator. The Team Coordinator will facilitate communicastions from Supervision/Planning to the Production Team. Coordinate efforts to meet the shipping plan, quality targets and schedule ship dates on customer orders.
This is a 3rd Shift position, working 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
What You’ll Be Doing
Critical Tasks/Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment
- Provide customers with a quality product
- Ensure on time delivery of product
- Uphold strict compliance with all Danfoss and production floor policies
- Conduct daily shift meetings
- Report status of production orders and daily shipping capabilities and initiate action to ensure targets are met
- Perform Shop floor/SAP/PDC transactions as required
- Communicate with other shifts to ensure a smooth transition from one shift to another
- Maintain orderly, clean, and organized work areas according to 5S standards and cleaning plan
- Responsible for coaching colleagues on applications of standards and to increase skills
- Participate in department goal setting
- Identify weaknesses in production and participate in continuous improvement processes
- Promptly report material shortage problems to the Supervisor/Manager and materials department
Additional Responsibilities and Authority
- Provide feedback to the Supervisor for performance reviews
- Monitor employee performance and take appropriate action
- Keep Operations Team informed of changes and other pertinent production information
- Communicate quality issues, both assembly or packaging related
- Inform Supervisor of problems encountered by the production team
- Train new employees
- Create and maintain schedules
- Maintain daily performance management systems and take corrective actions when needed
- Responsible for meeting daily productivity and output targets
- Responsible for communicating and follow up packaging errors
- Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For
Basic Minimum Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ops Services experience required
- Ability to communicate verbally and understand written instructions in English
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
