General Manager- Home Services

Description

The General Manager is responsible for sales, operations, personnel management, and achieving or exceeding revenue and profit goals while maintaining a strong customer focus, leveraging the brand, and driving employee engagement in a rapidly and highly competitive business environment for our HVAC Business Unit at Moore Mechanical. 

Duties & Responsibilities 

· Managing day-to-day operations.

· Creating and implementing business strategies for growth.

· Assuming full operational responsibility for profit and loss related activities.

· Managing front line managers who, in turn, supervise a field workforce of sales and service teams offering HVAC and Plumbing products and services to both residential and commercial customers.

· Preparing business forecasts, budgets, and other reports.

· Conducting financial analysis to identify trends and prospective problem areas and taking immediate action based on findings. 

· Maintaining a working knowledge of competitors, developing strategies and innovations to maintain market lead, and sharing best practices with other members of management. 

· Consistently administering company policies and procedures.

· Collaborating with the CEO on long & short-term plans for growth. 

· Providing timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the business unit(s) to the CEO.

· Working autonomously while ensuring business expectations are readily met and exceeded. 

· Fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment within the business unit(s). 

· Acting as a strategic partner on the leadership team.

Requirements and Qualifications

· Minimum of 8 to 10+ years, of verifiable full-time management experience in the services industry.

· Must have a comprehensive understanding of the P&L.

· Must embrace being constantly challenged to grow and improve operationally and professionally. 

· Passion for and prior successful history of building high-performing teams.

· Strong Leadership skills with ability to build consensus and gain buy-in

· Working knowledge of residential Plumbing and or HVAC methods, techniques & systems desirable. 

· Valid Driver's License.
