Management to lead their Research and Configuration team (ARC).
Operations is at the heart of what we do, delivering millions of items each day and fulfilling customer orders from all over the world. The ARC team is key to building the future of Amazon operations and is strategically positioned within the Central Flow organization to drive large-scale change and transformation.
The ARC Senior Manager leads a dynamic organization with vision to improve NACF processes and efficiency. This organization is composed of Configuration Specialists responsible for completing critical FC configurations across North America in a timely and accurate manner, as well as a Business Analytics team who measure performance, quantify problems, and identify solutions that can be applied at scale. The Senior Manager is the owner of the program, responsible for developing a bold vision for their team, eliminating waste through the development of lean workflows, and inventing new solutions that optimize how our FCs operate and deliver to our customers. The Senior Manager of ARC is a highly visible role, interacting with operations executives across North America in addition to various other stakeholders including Amazon’s Customer Excellence System (ACES), Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) and our Customer Packaging Experience (CPEX) teams. Reporting directly to the Director of NACF PLEX- Central Flow, this leader is accountable for business metrics that measure the timeliness and quality of their team’s configurations, creation and refinement of their program’s strategy, as well as the engagement and development of their team.
The Senior Manager of ARC must demonstrate critical thinking and iterative problem-solving skills, thrive in ambiguity, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. To be successful in this technical role, you will need to develop yourself and your team as Subject Matter Experts in your space and excel in data collection and analysis.
This position is based in a centralized corporate location based out of Tempe, Arizona.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage a team of 60-70 total reports including 6 salaried direct reports
• Manage coordination of network configuration deployments/pilots
• Manage the Scoping/Execution of large-scale configuration changes across the NA Fulfillment network
• Support SME Team(s) in process improvement initiatives
• Manage operational insights to the Amazon Fulfillment Technology team, Central Flow Team, and FC Operators
• Effectively identify and communicate detailed technical issues to external partners
• Manage partnership with operations leaders to solve technical issues with prescriptive countermeasures
• Develop short-term and long-term solutions for internal process gaps and/or barriers
• Work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and on-call as necessary
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and ambiguous situations autonomously
This position is NOT remote and DOES require you to be onsite at AZA3 in Tempe, AZ.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of team management experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements
- 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
- • Expertise in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps), SQL, and statistical analysis software (Minitab)
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- MBA
- • Lean Six Sigma Certification
- • 5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
