Position Summary
The MDO Director of Operations is responsible for the staffing, planning, coordinating, organizing, and directing an Operations division will manage technical aspects of business support with assigned systems and technology. Implement new board-approved technologies to support functional area strategies. Define and implement control procedures and processes to maintain top level performance. Additional responsibilities include conducting studies for long-range planning purposes, developing and recommending operational policies and procedures, establishing, reviewing, and evaluating performance standards, establishing, and assessing quality control and cost-effective criteria, establishing administrative reporting systems for use in budget planning, operational analysis, and cost control, and developing new or improved services areas, as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Assist the Ops VP in the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic engagement plan with customers.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external business development teams to develop and execute growth objectives for the Division.
- Engage with customers to develop plans for improvements to mission tasking profiles and strategies to optimize all aspects of mission performance.
- Navigate complex relationships across COCOMs, Intel Agencies, forward-deployed units, and warfighter command elements to ensure we are meeting or exceeding all Government collection requirements.
- Support customer assessments of mission technology needs in response to evolving Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and develop action plans to ensure capability enhancements meet operational demands.
- Lead the supplementation/implementation of proven methodologies to sustain and modernize steady state operations and ensure mission continuity and effective maintenance/modernization of systems across all Platforms and IAW with strategic shifts in mission priorities and objectives.
- Support both CONUS/OCONUS operations and mission optimization (across technological/logistical/partner needs) for the duration of all efforts.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements</p
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with U.S. Government contract activities with the DOD, DOS, and international allies.
- Knowledge and experience in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of strong people leadership.
- Work independently and be a contributing and positive part of the MDO team.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from four-year college or university.
- 25 years’ experience in Aviation, with 15 years specialized in Rotary Wing operations.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Ten years progressive leadership experience in worldwide operations.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112000 to $208000 (annualized USD).
